Mr Zhulkarnain Abdul Rahim is a Partner in Rodyk & Davidson LLP’s Litigation and Arbitration Practice Group. He graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2005 and was admitted to the Singapore Bar as an Advocate and Solicitor in Singapore in 2006. He was conferred a Certificate in Islamic Banking & Finance from the International Islamic University of Malaysia in 2009 and a Masters of Law (Islamic Law and Finance) from the Singapore Management University in 2013, in which he was placed on the Dean’s List for his academic excellence. In September 2015, he made headlines when he was listed in the Asian Legal Business inaugural 40 under 40, a listing that showcases 40 of the brightest young legal minds in the region under the age of 40.
Besides international commercial arbitration, he also handles family law disputes and Syariah law matters pro bono before both the Syariah Court and the Syariah Appeal Board at MUIS. He sits on the Board of Directors of the Singapore Malay Chambers of Commerce and Industry and is a member of the Muslim Law Practice Committee of the Law Society. As part of his pro bono work, he is an Assigned Solicitor with the Legal Aid Bureau and volunteers in legal clinics at the Al-Mukminin Mosque and Singapore Council of Women’s Organisation.
