The Young Couples Programme (YCP) is tailored for young minor Muslim couples where either or both parties are below 21 years old, who wish to get married. The programme is conducted in collaboration with the Registry of Muslim Marriages (ROMM).
The flowchart below shows how the programme works:
Couples who wish to get married will be required to undergo a three-hour premarital counselling session to assess their readiness for marriage.
If they choose to continue with marriage after the premarital counselling session, they are required to attend a seven-week Marriage Guidance Course.
