    Executive Director

    The Executive Director is the key management leader of AMP Singapore. The Executive Director is responsible for overseeing the administration, programmes and strategic plans of the organisation. Other key duties include fundraising, marketing and community outreach:

    Responsibilities

    1. Leadership

    • Participate with the Board of Directors in developing a strategic plan to guide the organisation
    • Identify, assess, and inform the Board of Directors of internal and external issues that affect the organisation
    • Represent the organisation at community activities to enhance the organisation’s community profile

    2. Operational

    • Develop an operational plan which incorporates goals and objectives that work towards the strategic direction of the organisation
    • Ensure that the operation of the organisation meets the expectations of the Board and stakeholders – donors, clients, volunteers
    • Oversee the efficient and effective day-to-day operation of the organisation

    3. Program Planning

    • Oversee the planning, implementation and evaluation of the organisation’s programmes and services
    • Ensure that the programmes and services offered by the organisation contribute to the organisation’s mission and reflect the priorities of the Board
    • Oversee the planning, implementation, execution and evaluation of special projects

    4. Human Resources

    • Determine staffing requirements for organisational management and programme delivery
    • Oversee the implementation of the human resources policies, procedures and practices including the development of job description for all staff

    5. Financial and Governance

    • Work with staff and the Board to prepare a comprehensive budget
    • Work with the Board to secure adequate funding for the operation of the organisation
    • Responsible for the effective governance of the organisation

    6. Community Relations

    • Communicate with stakeholders to keep them informed of the work of the organisation and to identify changes in the community served by the organisation

     

    Interested candidates must have the following:

    • At least 5 years of experience in senior management position or 5 years of relevant
      working experience
    • Able to assess situations promptly and efficiently
    • Excellent leadership, negotiation and communication skills
    • Proven track record as an agent of change, with the ability to move quickly and bring a
      sense of urgency
    • Resilience and adaptable to change
    • Track record in driving growth, innovating and inspiring teams for success
    • Successful strategic, business management and expansion experience

    Research Analyst/Associate, RIMA

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Produce quality research on specific topic(s) assigned by the Board
    • Analyse data and provide write-up
    • Present complex information effectively to a range of audiences
    • Oversee contents, editing and publishing of publications both in print and electronic media
    • Draft proposals and provide links for research grants/funding and applications
    • Review RIMA’s research output and make recommendations to the Board
    • Publish article / opinion pieces on relevant issues affecting the Malay/ Muslim community
    • Organise events and conduct fieldwork
    • Establish network within the Malay establishments as well as the mainstream institutions

    Job Requirements:

    • Fresh degree in social science or other relevant disciplines
    • Those with some research work experience and higher qualification would be considered for higher position
    • Knowledge of research techniques and methodologies
    • Experience in organising seminars and conferences
    • Experience in editorial work and overseeing publications
    • Proficiency in English and Malay and another relevant language will be an added advantage – (in order to handle concerns and feedback from English, Malay and another relevant language speaking counterparts in regards yo the contents, editing and publishing matters.)
    • Strong networking capacity would be an added advantage
    • Awareness of the dynamic of the Malay/Muslim community be an added advantage

    Centre Manager, RIMA

    Job Responsibilities:

    RIMA’s Centre Manager is primarily responsible for the Centre’s day-to-day administration & operations, supporting the full spectrum of research initiatives and engagement programmes. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the candidate would be responsible for the following duties:

    • Set the strategic direction of RIMA’s research work
    • Oversee and manage the administrative and operations of the Centre
    • Maintain and monitor the Centre’s overall budget including grant administration
    • Participate in the development and implementation of policies and new initiatives that support the strategic direction of RIMA.
    • Organise conferences, workshops, seminars, training programmes and other activities of the Centre
    • Supervise the research staff and officer

    Job Requirements:

    • A recognised university degree in any discipline.
    • Experience in executing or managing social science research activity.
    • Preferably at least 3 years of relevant working experience.
    • Ability to manage finance with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
    • Good writing and communication skills, and good command of English. Proficiency in Malay and another relevant language will be an added advantage – in order to handle queries and feedback from Malay speaking counterparts in regards to the conferences, workshops, seminars, training programmes and other activities.
    • Experience in editorial work and overseeing publications
    • Strong networking capacity would be an added advantage with an awareness of the Malay/Muslim community be an added advantage
