The CommaCon campaign – deriving from the combination of ‘comma’ and ‘conversation’ – is a series of public engagement sessions on sensitive and contentious issues such as racism, terrorism, national identity and the socio-economic divide.
The campaign aims to encourage youths to be actively involved in maintaining and strengthening social cohesion and harmony in Singapore.
It held its first-of-its-kind national youth convention in October 2016, which provided a platform for youths to have honest and meaningful discussions on these issues. The event saw about 400 youths participated in four different engagement sessions, each preceded by a trigger activity, which comprised stand-up comedy sets and plays.
